What this tool helps you do

An XML sitemap lists important URLs that a search engine can discover. It is especially helpful for large sites, newly published pages, and sites whose internal linking does not expose every URL easily. A sitemap supports discovery, but it does not guarantee indexing or ranking.

Steps for a reliable result

Use the Sitemap Generator with the correct canonical website address and let it collect the URLs it can access. Review the output for valid public pages, then publish the XML file at the intended location and submit its URL through the search engine's webmaster tools.

Things worth checking

Exclude private, blocked, redirected, and non-canonical URLs. Make sure the sitemap uses the preferred HTTPS host and returns a successful response. Update it when useful pages are added or removed, and investigate crawl errors rather than repeatedly resubmitting an unchanged file.

Related tools

Depending on your next step, you may also find Sitemap Visualizer, Site Crawler and Canonical Generator useful. Choose the tool that matches the task instead of converting or editing a file more than necessary.
