What this tool helps you do
Digital photos may contain more than visible pixels. EXIF metadata can include camera settings, timestamps, device details, and sometimes GPS coordinates. Removing metadata can reduce accidental disclosure when images are posted publicly or sent to people who do not need that information.
Steps for a reliable result
Select a photo in the Metadata (EXIF) Remover and process it. Download the cleaned copy and, when privacy is important, inspect its metadata with a separate viewer to confirm which fields remain. The visible image should also be checked to ensure it still looks right.
Things worth checking
Metadata removal does not hide information visible inside the photo itself, such as a street sign or document. Some formats or apps may add metadata again during later edits or exports, so check the final file that you actually publish.
