What this tool helps you do

Screenshots and photos can accidentally reveal email addresses, account numbers, faces, private messages, or location details. Censoring lets you cover selected areas before sharing an image publicly. Choose the treatment based on whether the information needs to be concealed or merely de-emphasized.

Steps for a reliable result

Open Image Censor, upload the image, and draw a rectangle over each sensitive area. Apply the available blur, pixelation, or solid-color option, then inspect the exported image at full size. Make sure every occurrence of the information has been covered.

Things worth checking

For secrets such as passwords or identification numbers, a solid opaque block is safer than a light blur. Crop previews, reflections, filenames, and surrounding text can also disclose information. Keep an unedited original privately and share only the checked export.
